Ostrich project 2021

The ostrich has been associated with the myth that they bury their heads in the sand so as to ignore a dangerous situation.

This project uses this concept as a metaphor for the problems of ignoring human/wildlife conflict and the impact of tourism.

The ostrich is a composite of materials using ceramics, copper tubing, zinc sheeting and feathers.
