Eve 2022

The inspiration for this piece was Picasso’s drawing of a young woman with arms folded above her head.

The drawing was abstracted into a 3D maquette and then reworked as a pose for a simple stone carving. She was transformed into Eve with a serpent wrapped around her, carved into the limestone.

A metaphor for original sin and humanity’s destruction of the environment and toxic pollution of the planet.
